The Collections Council is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the WA Department of Culture and the Arts and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to commence the CollectionsCare project in the WA Goldfields region.
As announced on
4 June 2009, the inaugural
CollectionsCare Demonstration Project will be established in the Goldfields region of WA. The project will be funded by the Myer Foundation, with matching funds contributed by the WA Government, and in-kind contribution by all project partners.
Representatives of the CCA, the Department of Culture and the Arts and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder have been in planning discussions since April, and are pleased to see this significant initial milestone achieved.
The MoU addresses the objectives of the parties and the overall goals of the project. An important aspect of the MoU is all parties’ commitment to communication of the progress and successes of the CollectionsCare project. It establishes a firm basis for a constructive working relationship between the three project partners.
The CCA looks forward to working with the Department of Culture and the Arts and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and to announcing further achievements of the CollectionsCare Demonstration Project.
